Dr. Uebaba has conducted field research on traditional medicine in India, China, Peru, and Islamic nations, and his expertise spans Ayurveda, Tibetan medicine, and integrative healthcare.

In this lecture, he will explore how the ancient practices of Ayurveda and Tibetan medicine can complement modern healthcare. Dr. Uebaba will share practical insights on how these healing traditions can promote long-term wellness and prevent illness.

Lizel Cabucana Cameron is founder of Sorig Khang Philippines, a Sowa Rigpa Counselor, Nejang Yoga Teacher, and holistic wellness practitioner with over 19 years of experience in yoga and movement, and 14 years of teaching.

She is a Certified Associate Acupuncturist in the Philippines and a licensed massage therapist accredited by the Dubai Health Authority. She specializes in Ku Nye and Hilot.

Rooted in her maternal lineage of maaram—Filipino traditional healers—Lizel’s healing work bridges the energetic and spiritual dimensions of Hilot and Ku Nye, particularly in mental health, palliative care, and end-of-life support.

Her current focus includes ritual healing, energy realignment, and the integration of traditional therapies in transitional care. She is pursuing a Master’s degree in Psychology, with a research emphasis on contemplative, cultural, and body-based healing practices for holistic mental health.
